What this screen is for
Lists every thread this user is part of, split into an active and an archived section. From here a thread is opened, archived, brought back out of the archive, or removed from this side's own list.
When you would use this
A user comes here to get back to a past thread with a business, to see which threads have something unread waiting, or to clear an old thread they're no longer interested in off their own list.
Who sees it
Any signed-in user sees their own threads; a business owner also sees every thread belonging to the company or companies they own, in the same list. Nobody sees a thread that belongs to somebody else, or to a company they don't own.
Where it lives
The screen exists on both the mobile app and the web panel, but the list each renders is not the same thing. On the panel, whoever is signed in is always a business owner, so the list carries only that company's threads. In the app, the list merges this person's OWN customer threads with the threads of any company they own into one list; a row for messaging their own company appears once, not twice. Opening a row also lands differently on each surface: on the panel it opens the thread itself in another part of the same page; in the app it moves to a separate screen (Conversation).
What you can do here
Active and archived sections
Threads are listed under two separate headings by status; the archived section is not shown at all when it is empty.
Open a thread
Tapping or clicking a row opens that thread.
On the panel this shows the thread in another part of the same page — writing, sending an image, and seeing the other side typing all happen there. In the app the same tap moves to a separate screen.
Unseen indicator
A row is highlighted as unseen when its last message is newer than this side's own last-read stamp; the indicator says something has arrived, not how many messages have.
Archive
An active thread can be moved to the archive; this takes it off BOTH sides' active list without deleting anything — a new message brings it back to active for both.
On the panel this action lives in a menu next to the row; in the app it is reached by swiping the row or opening a sheet from a long press.
Restore from archive
An archived thread can be brought back to active; either side of the conversation can do this, not only whoever archived it.
Remove from your own list
A thread can be removed only from your own list; the other side's copy is unaffected. A new message arriving after the removal brings the thread back on its own.
Turn messaging on or off
A switch that turns the company's messaging feature on or off as a whole; while off, an attempt to start a new thread is refused, and threads already open are unaffected.
Found only on the panel; the mobile app has no such switch on any screen.
Message notification switch
A second switch, next to the messaging switch, meant to decide whether the business gets a push when a customer writes to it.
Also panel-only; the mobile app carries neither of these two switches.
What the server accepts and refuses
Removal writes only after a 3-second countdown
A request to remove a thread from your own list is not applied immediately; it can be undone during the countdown, and nothing is written if it is. Both surfaces use the same 3-second window.
A blocked thread stays in the list but is not archived
When a customer is blocked, the thread's status becomes blocked rather than archived, so the restore-from-archive action is never offered on it — lifting a block is a separate action.
The message notification switch does not currently suppress pushes
The panel writes this switch to the company document, but the trigger that sends a new-message push reads a same-named field on the USER document instead — a field nothing writes. Turning the switch off does not stop the push it appears to control.
