What this screen is for

The form for editing the account's display name and phone number, viewing the email (read-only), and seeing which provider — email, Google, or Apple — the account was opened with.

When you would use this

A reader comes here when their display name or phone number is wrong or out of date, or when they need to confirm which provider their account was opened with.

Who sees it

Only a signed-in user views and edits their own account; the screen always reads and writes the signed-in user's own document.

Where it lives

The screen exists on the mobile app only; the panel has no personal profile field to edit at all.

What you can do here

Edit the display name and phone

Both fields are changed in a text box; the phone field is entered together with its country code.

See the email

The email is shown in a read-only field and cannot be changed from this form.

See the account's provider

A line states whether the account was opened with email and password, Google, or Apple; an Apple account opened with a Hide My Email relay address is additionally noted.

Save

Only the fields that changed are sent to the server; if nothing changed, no save request is sent at all.

What the server accepts and refuses

The email cannot be changed from this form

The email field is disabled; there is no way to change the account's email on this screen.

Leaving the phone field blank clears the number

The phone field is not required; saving it blank removes the number from the account rather than being rejected as an invalid value.

Leaving without saving asks for confirmation

Trying to leave the screen with an unsaved change open prompts a confirmation dialog; declining it keeps the reader on the screen.
